Berber Villages Tour


You will be collected from your Riad at 0800 am and transferred to Imlil where you will meet your guide. Your guide will do a briefing and check your equipment. There are shops to rent equipment in Imlil centre if required. 


Day 01: Marrakech - Imi Oughald - Ousertk Valley

As you make your way from Marrakech, you will pass through Tahnaout and Moulay Brahim gorges, both of which are renowned for their stunning scenery. The village of Asni is also a must-visit destination, with its traditional Berber market and charming streets.

Once you arrive in Imi Oughlad, your trekking adventure will begin in earnest. The hike through the valleys and villages will be a great opportunity to learn more about Berber life and culture, and to appreciate the beauty of the natural surroundings.

As you make your way up the pass of Tizi Lbour, you will be rewarded with some truly spectacular views of the Imsker and Ousertk valleys. Once you reach Imsker, you will have the chance to rest and refuel with a delicious lunch, before continuing on to the village of Ousertk, where you will spend the night.

Day 02: Ousertk - Oukaimden - Tachdirt 

The Tizi n'Oukaimden pass offers a stunning vantage point from which to view the surrounding valleys and take in the breathtaking scenery.

As you make your way to the Oukaimden ski resort, you will have the opportunity to discover ancient rocks and artifacts, which will give you a fascinating insight into the history of the area.

Once you arrive at the ski resort, you will be able to enjoy a delicious lunch and take in the views of the surrounding mountains. Oukaimden is known not only for its skiing but also for its stunning natural beauty, so take some time to explore the area and soak up the scenery.

From there, you will continue your trekking adventure by making your way to Tacherdirt via the pass of Tizi aadi. This will take you through another valley, where you will be able to experience the unique landscape and natural beauty of the region.

As you descend to the valley floor, you will reach your destination for the night, which is situated at an elevation of 2,400m. Here, you will have the opportunity to rest and relax, while taking in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. 

Day 03: Tachedirt - Tizi n Tamatert Pass - Aroumd

Today, you will begin your descent from the higher elevations, passing through some charming villages such as Ounskera village.

As you make your way to the pass of Tizi n'Tamatert, you will be treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding scenery, with vast vistas stretching out as far as the eye can see. This is a great opportunity to take some incredible photos and truly appreciate the natural beauty of the Atlas Mountains.

From there, you will continue onto Aroumd village, which is one of the highest villages in the Atlas Mountains. This charming village offers a unique glimpse into the daily lives of the local Berber people, and you will have the opportunity to learn more about their customs and traditions.

You will spend the night in Aroumd village at an elevation of 2,000m, which will provide a peaceful and serene setting for you to rest and relax after a day of hiking. If you're interested, there may be the opportunity to visit a hammam, a traditional Moroccan steam bath, to unwind and rejuvenate before settling in for the night.

Overall, today's trek will take approximately 5 hours, but the journey will be filled with incredible scenery, fascinating cultural insights, and opportunities for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Day 04: Aroumd Village - Sidi Chamharouch 

The final day of your trekking adventure in the Atlas Mountains will be full of beautiful scenery and interesting cultural sites.

After enjoying breakfast in Around village, you will set out along the Toubkal Valley, which will take you through a stunning juniper forest and offer plenty of surprises along the way. The natural beauty of this area is truly remarkable, and you will likely feel awed and inspired by the surrounding landscape.

Your journey will take you to the shrine of Chamharouch, where you will stop to rest and enjoy a delicious lunch beside the river. This will be a great opportunity to reflect on your adventure so far and soak up the serene surroundings.

Tizi Izgarne Pass is located at an elevation of around 2,700 metres and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Atlas Mountains. The hike up to the pass is likely to be challenging, but the views and sense of accomplishment at the top will be worth it.

After reaching the pass, you will descend back down to Imlil Valley, which is known for its beautiful scenery and traditional Berber villages. Once you reach Imlil Valley, you will be transported back to Marrakech.


A driver will collect you from your hotel around 3 hours before your departing flight and transfer you to Marrakech Menara international Airport, ensuring that you arrive there at least 2 hours before your flight departs. Please let us know if you'd like to be collected earlier.
