Lake Ifni and Mount Toubkal Ascent
Pre-trek: Marrakesh β Imlil
You will be collected from your Riad at 0800 am and transferred to Imlil where you will meet your guide. Your guide will do a briefing and check your equipment. There are shops to rent equipment in Imlil centre if required.
Trek
Day 01: Marrakech - Imlil (1,775m) - Tacheddirt (2,314m)
You will be transferred early in the morning from Marrakesh to Imlil village located in Atlas Mountains where you will begin your trek. You will hike up towards Tizi n Tamarert pass, this is the highest point of your hike at 2,370m. On the way you will pass through the villages of Ait Souka and Tamarert. These villages offer a glimpse into the local Berber culture and lifestyle. After the pass you will stop for lunch before continuing on to the last and highest village in the area where you will spend the night. Techdert has an altitude of 2,800m and offers stunning views of the Atlas Mountains. You can stay at a local guest house or camp out in the village.
Day 02: Tacheddirt (2,314m) - Azib Likmet (3,600m)
You will begin your trek early in the morning, climbing up to the pass of Tizi Likmet at an altitude of 3,600m. This climb can be challenging but the panoramic views from the top will be well worth it. After enjoying the views you will descend to Azib Likmet where you will overnight in a campsite, experiencing the simplicity of nomadic life.
Day 03: Azib Likmet (3,600m) - Amesouzart (1,792m)
After an early breakfast you will begin to trek through Awry Valley, where you will reach Ouray Pass. This pass offers panoramic views of the Oudman Valley and Toubkal Peak. You will then begin to descend towards Tagnit Village, known for its unique Berber architecture. After passing Tagnit Village, you will continue on to Amsouzart Village where you will spend the night.
Day 04: Amesouzart (1,792) - Lake Ifni (2,500m)
Today you will pass through a number of Berber Villages to Lake Ifni where you will have lunch and lots of time to relax and swim. A campsite will be set up and you will enjoy the peaceful surroundings overnight.
Day 05: Lake Ifni (2,500m) - Toubkal Hut (3,207m)
After breakfast, you will head up to Tizi Wanoumse pass at an altitude of 3,600m. Leaving the Oudman area, you will reach Toubkal Valley where you will overnight before your summit early the next morning. You will spend overnight at Toubkal Hut.
Day 06: Toubkal Hut (3,207m) - Toubkal Summit (4,167m) β Imlil (1,775m) - Marrakech
You will begin your day early in the morning for your summit bid of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa, with an altitude of 4,167m. You will enjoy the sunrise and breathtaking views from all directions, such as Sahara, High Atlas, Anti-Atlas and various valleys.
Imlil β Marrakech
You will make your descent down to Toubkal Valley where you will stop for lunch and down to Imlil where you will be met by transport and transferred back to Marrakech.
Post-trek: Marrakech β Airport
A driver will collect you from your hotel around 3 hours before your departing flight and transfer you to Marrakech Menara International Airport, ensuring that you arrive there at least 2 hours before your flight departs. Please let us know if you'd like to be collected earlier.

You will be collected from your Riad in Marrakesh at 0800 and transferred through the foothills of the High Atlas β passing traditional Berber market towns and the spectacular Moulay Brahim gorge β to the village of Imlil (1,740m). Here you will meet your mountain guide, who will brief you on the days ahead and check your equipment. Rental gear is available in Imlil village centre if required.
Starting your day early in Marrakech, you'll wind your way up through the Moulay Brahim Gorge and the upper valleys, taking in the stunning scenery along the way. As you arrive at the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains, you'll meet up with your Berber muleteer crew who will accompany you on your trek.
