2 Day Mount Toubkal Ascent
Pre-trek: Marrakech β Imlil
You will be collected from your Riad at 0800 and transferred to Imlil where you will meet your guide. Your guide will do a briefing and check your equipment. There are shops to rent equipment in Imlil centre if required.
Trek
Day 01: Imlil β Refuge du Toubkal
We will begin our journey with an early departure from Marrakech, heading toward Imlil (1,745m). From here, weβll set out on a scenic trek, passing through traditional Berber villages along the way. Our route takes us to the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch (2,350m), where weβll pause for a relaxing lunch. Afterward, weβll continue our ascent, navigating through winding trails and passing goat shelters before reaching the Refuge (3,207m). This dayβs trek is approximately 6 hours in total.
Day 02: Toubkal Refuge - Toubkal Summit - Imlil
Our day begins with an early start as we set out to summit Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa at 4,167m. This ascent offers breathtaking sunrise views, with panoramas stretching across the Sahara, the High Atlas, the Anti-Atlas, and surrounding valleys.
Post-trek: Imlil β Marrakech
After reaching the summit, weβll make our descent through Toubkal Valley back to Imlil, where a transfer will be waiting to take us to Marrakech. This journey takes approximately 8 to 9 hours.

You will be collected from your Riad in Marrakesh at 0800 and transferred through the foothills of the High Atlas β passing traditional Berber market towns and the spectacular Moulay Brahim gorge β to the village of Imlil (1,740m). Here you will meet your mountain guide, who will brief you on the days ahead and check your equipment. Rental gear is available in Imlil village centre if required.
Starting your day early in Marrakech, you'll wind your way up through the Moulay Brahim Gorge and the upper valleys, taking in the stunning scenery along the way. As you arrive at the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains, you'll meet up with your Berber muleteer crew who will accompany you on your trek.
