What is your summit success rate?
We don't maintain official records of summit success, and the likelihood of ever releasing such statistics is very low. The reason behind this decision is the potential negative impact it could have on climbers and guides. Publishing success rates could create undue pressure on climbers and especially on guides, as they may feel compelled to prioritise summiting for marketing purposes. This pressure could compromise the safety and well-being of both climbers and guides. Unlike our unpublished summit statistics, which are available for verification through live climb reports for each trekking group over the past few years, we prioritise safety and accuracy over marketing considerations at Team Toubkal.
You will be collected from your Riad in Marrakesh at 0800 and transferred through the foothills of the High Atlas β passing traditional Berber market towns and the spectacular Moulay Brahim gorge β to the village of Imlil (1,740m). Here you will meet your mountain guide, who will brief you on the days ahead and check your equipment. Rental gear is available in Imlil village centre if required.
Starting your day early in Marrakech, you'll wind your way up through the Moulay Brahim Gorge and the upper valleys, taking in the stunning scenery along the way. As you arrive at the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains, you'll meet up with your Berber muleteer crew who will accompany you on your trek.
