Questions About Booking with Team Toubkal
Can I climb during the winter months?
Toubkal, located in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, experiences winter conditions from December to February. During these months, the weather can be harsh and challenging, with cold temperatures and the possibility of snowfall, especially at higher elevations. Toubkal is the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains, standing at 4,167 metres (13,671 feet) above sea level.
If you plan to visit Toubkal during the winter months, be prepared for cold temperatures, potentially sub-zero at higher elevations, and snow-covered trails. Winter trekking and mountaineering on Toubkal require proper gear, including insulated clothing, crampons, and an ice axe. The conditions can be demanding, and it's essential to have experience in winter mountaineering and be well-prepared for the challenges that come with the cold and snow.
